"The Karhunkierros trail in Oulanka is for many, including me, the first long hike. Oulanka National Park opened the door to a completely new world for me—the world of national parks, hiking, and trekking. How beautiful Finland’s nature is, and the incredible experiences it offers! One of those experiences was crossing a swaying suspension bridge above the roaring Oulankajoki with a heavy backpack on my back! That experience I’ve captured in this sweater."

Riina Meriläinen visited all the 41 national parks in Finland and, inspired by their magnificent nature, has designed a unique knitting pattern for each park. Now you have the opportunity to knit the Oulanka Riippusilta sweater following Riina's pattern.
